Away to See: Martha’s Vineyard

Book Cover: Away to See

For almost thirty years, Paul Norwood, a painter, and Liz Norwood, a writer and editor, have had the great fortune to spend quiet summers on Martha’s Vineyard, discovering some of her truths: the astonishing landscapes, the well of tradition, and the notion that sometimes the smallest moments bring the greatest joy.

In their new artful gift book, Away to See: Martha’s Vineyard, Liz and Paul explore the slower side of the Island, sharing some of their favorite spots and experiences through lyrical vignettes and vibrant paintings.

Authors Liz and Paul Norwood

Liz and Paul Norwood are longtime summer residents of the Vineyard. Paul, who grew up on the coast of Maine, decided early on that he’d rather paint the sea than fish from it. His work is exhibited in galleries and art fairs on both coasts, and on the Island he’s represented by the Eisenhauer Gallery in Edgartown. Liz, a California native, is a freelance writer and editor helping nonprofits, small businesses, and creative types tell their stories and share their big ideas.
