 Matt Taylor is an award-winning author and a 15th-generation resident of Martha’s Vineyard, where he resides with his wife and children. His 2011 debut book, JAWS: Memories From Martha’s Vineyard, was re-released in 2025 to commemorate the film’s 50thanniversary. Matt continues to preserve and share the rich history of the Vineyard through his various projects, including the Deep Roots film series, and his book, Golden Age: The History of Fine Art on Martha’s Vineyard, about the founders of the Chilmark Colony.
