MICHAEL A. SMITH is the author of FINATICS: 50 YEARS OF JAWS, and a 50th Anniversary edition of Edie Blake’s ON LOCATION: On Martha’s Vineyard-The Making of the Movie JAWS. He is a longtime member of The Kansas City Film Critics Circle and spent a decade as a film critic of the Leavenworth (KS) Times. DENNIS L. PRINCE is the author of JOE ALVES: DESIGNING JAWS, which provides the production designers’s view into the development of the world-renowned film, included are Alves’ stunning pre-production illustrations, and JOE ALVES: ADVENTURES IN FILM DESIGN, an illustrated biography of Alves.

Special guest JOE ALVES, is a legendary American film production designer, who worked on the first three films of the JAWS franchise and perhaps is best known for his work on Close Encounters of the Third Kind. He also directed the third installment Jaws 3-D.
