Sailing with Angels, A Poetic Tale of Grief and Grace

Book Cover: Sailing with Angels, A Poetic Tale of Grief and Grace

Sailing with Angels is a lyrical fable about grief, memory, and navigating life’s headwinds. Shortlisted in the Faulkner Society Wisdom Competition, Sailing with Angels is the first in a trilogy about navigating life's headwinds.

In her debut book, Laura Briel Sullivan introduces Princess Briel, a young girl navigating the loss of the generation she grew up with on the shores of Edgartown. Guided by a talisman, she journeys across sea and island, meeting wise characters—from the Judge to the Alchemist to the Harbormaster—each offering wit and wisdom..

A story you can read in under ten minutes, yet revisit for years—a book a child can understand, and an adult may need.

About the Author—

LAURA BRIEL SULLIVAN is a first-time author who believes that the best gifts are stories that find us when we need them most. An Edgartown girl since the first moon landing, her book is inspired by the characters she grew up with on the island.

Laura can’t spell, loves to spin a story, laughs loudly, and splits her time between the Massachusetts and Mississippi coasts.   Her favorite words are conundrum, oxymoron, and kerfuffle.
